In my not-so-humble opinion, I believe that every person who is opposed to the COVID vaccine and gets the disease, should not be allowed entry into a hospital and should be denied all care.
I believe that if people don’t believe in the vaccine, they obviously don’t believe in the treatment once they have contracted the disease. They may believe that god will take care of them.
I have less than no sympathy for those people. Most of you are better people than I am, and I envy you that. You are in favor in allowing them to cost critical care workers their sanity, for the simple reason that they are buffoons. If there is such a thing as the Sarah Bernhardt Award, it is one in which I will never be awarded.
The vaccines don’t work
There are those who see people who have received the vaccine and have, nevertheless, contracted COVID. It means nothing to them that, without the vaccine, instead of what results in a low grade flu, would probably mean death. These breakthrough cases are enough for them to point their crooked fingers.
The manufacturers of the vaccine never promised one hundred percent protection from the virus. But it is the thought process of the mentally deranged who see the world as black and white, who would rather die a painful death from the virus than give themselves a ninety percent chance of not contracting COVID.
These are the same people who, at this very moment, are blaming President Biden for what’s happening in Afghanistan because their knowledge of history only spans two weeks.
These are the same people who see a person die of lung cancer who never smoked a cigarette, and therefore concludes that there is no reason to quit smoking because, “you can get cancer even if you quit smoking”.
These are very stupid people and, unfortunately, are breathing my air.
My proposal
My proposal is a simple one. If a person has not been vaccinated at this point, and needs hospitalization as a result of COVID, it should be denied. The person should be turned away. I am not alone in this opinion.
It seems a little extreme, but really, isn’t it Darwinism at its most eloquent? Why must humans always be so humane?
A more modest proposal
I have a nephew who is a doctor. I talked to him yesterday, and although he saw the logic to my argument, he proposed something a bit less extreme and possibly a bit more feasible.
He said that if insurance companies were smart, like they do with smokers, they could charge anti-vaxxers more for coverage. Hit ‘em in the pocketbook. There would be screaming, but there’s precedent, and there isn’t a helluva lot the idiots could do about it.
Although his solution seemed a bit tame to me, I saw the logic.
There has to be a way for insurance companies to charge anti-vaxxers more, under an assumption of risk theory, like for smokers in life insurance policies.
If we’re not going to let them die…at least let them pay.
Totally agree. These selfish, ignorant people infuriate me.
